Dog Collar Light Called Puplight

I wish I would have found this Puplight dog collar light sooner. It would have saved me and my poor dog a ton of grief and money. Look at the picture and click it below to see what I mean.

Here's why….Last year I got home a bit late from work and being the winter time it was already getting dark. I live on a fairly dark rural road that doesn't have the benefit from street lights. My black lab mix, Sandy, had to do her duty outside so off we went. I hooked the leash to her and decided to go for a bit of a dark walk since it was quite nice outside for a winter night.

Sandy has always been a bit of a handful on the leash and of course, she was up to her usual try walk me instead of me walking her. She tends to like walking so far ahead that she almost chokes herself when the leash length runs out. Crazy dog. She was younger at that time and not quite leash trained but a good puppy just the same (maybe just not the brightest bulb in the litter but don’t tell her that!).

We decided that we would walk as far as Parker's farm and then turn around and come back. During the trip there we only met two cars as far as I can remember. It was on the trip back that we had problems.

Sandy, in her usual I'll walk you fashion managed to get away from me and ran up ahead right down the middle of the road. Unfortunately, this just so happened when a car was coming down the road in the opposite direction. The driver noticed her at the last minute but it was too late and she got hit -- luckily not at his full speed. The driver felt horrible….and so did poor Sandy.

Now, if I would have had the dog collar light, it may have prevented this because the driver would have noticed Sandy much sooner.

Anyway….off to the vet we went. Luckily the driver helped me lift Sandy into my car because I doubt if I could have done it myself. She suffered a broken leg and a bit of a concussion but other than that she was okay. My wallet suffered as well…I won’t even get into the vet bills!
